Dr. Veit Rothhammer
Dr. Veit Rothhammer, MD, is Full Professor of Neuroimmunology at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital of Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. Following clinical and research training in Munich and at Harvard Medical School, he established an independent research program supported by a Heisenberg Fellowship and an ERC Starting Grant.
Dr. Rothhammer’s research focuses on the role of astrocytes and microglia in multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuroinflammation, with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies for progressive neuroinflammatory and degenerative diseases.
